As you can probably guess, I also believe Java the platform is entering a renaissance with Sun's recent promise for the platform to be "multilingual" and projects like JRuby finally coming into their own. Java the platform--the sleeping giant beneath Java the language--is awakening...and it will speak in dynamic tongues.
